If you've not seen this video, a true story from Australia set to a great song, please take a few minutes to watch.
As a friend from Jordan wrote after viewing it, "I guess if we all do that, there would be no problems in this world."
Everyone, it's up to us - the people - to be visible and vocal for peace. As Jim Morrison said,
"They Got the Guns But We Got the Numbers". Whether it's hugs or mass/non-stop non-violent protests or every one of us wearing a peace sign,
let's make all the leaders pay attention - let's make peace happen. Because the best arms are the ones used for hugging,
not killing.
Iraq: more than 650,000 civilians
and over 3,095 Coalition soldiers - dead from war. Darfur: over 400,000 people, dead. Israel and Palestine: nearly 5,000 people since 2000. The Congo: 3 million since 1998. Chechnya. Afghanistan. Lebanon. Sri Lanka. New York. The list goes on. And on. All you "leaders" out there, listen. We - the people - want peace, please. NOW.
The visual above shows photos of people of peace, or visual
expressions of peace which they created. These photos provide just a small capsule of the tens of millions
of people around the world raising their voices and being visible and vocal for peace. Please join in! Send YOUR picture to images@peaceplease.com
